Io sono il bosco

The title comes from a phrase from "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche.

“I am a forest, and a night of dark trees:
but he who is not afraid of my darkness,
will find banks full of roses under my cypresses.”
(F. Nietzsche)

[Io sono una selva e una notte di alberi scuri,
ma chi non ha paura delle mie tenebre,
troverà anche pendii di rose sotto i miei cipressi.]

The painting represents an autumn forest when the colors of the leaves explode in the warm and bushy colors that precede the decadence and decomposition of winter.

The picture, made of heavy watercolor paper, is sold without frame.
This is obviously a unique copy signed on the front and back together with a certificate attesting to the uniqueness of the work and my artist data.
